| 1846 | Approximately 8,000 acres of land in Ventura (stretching along more than 6 miles of coastline) is granted to Ramon Rodriguez by Mexican Governor Pio de Jesus Pico. |
| 1848 | Don José Ramon Rodriguez is killed while helping a mounted posse find the murderers of all 11 members of the William Reed household. His widow, Juana Tico Rodriguez, and the couple’s three sons inherited the land. |
| 1872 | The Rodriquez family could not manage the Rancho and sold it for $8,000 to Greenburg Berry Taylor. |

| 1846 | July 4th - Nancy Donohou & Greenburg B. Taylor (Emma Grubb’s grandparents) wed in Tennessee. |
| 1848 | Greenburg (‘Green’) and Nancy move to California. |
| 1855 | Nancy gives birth to Alice (Emma’s mother), and the family moves to San Luis Obispo County. |
| 1872 | Green, Nancy, and their four living children move to Ventura (part of Santa Barbara County at the time). The Ventura Signal wrote up a short article on April 27 detailing the purchase of the San Miguelito Rancho. |
| 1880 | Martin J. Grubb marries Alice Taylor, and the couple settles in Carpinteria. |
| 1881 | Alice gives birth to the first of four children: Emma (1881), Dora (1884), Lena (1886), and Percy (1891). |
| 1897 | Green B. Taylor dies (age 79). Nancy Donohou Taylor gains complete control of all assets and runs the ranch until her death (1911). |
| 1910 | Emma Grubb and Adrian Gordon (“Buddy”) Wood marry. |
| 1911 | Alice Taylor Grubb becomes sole heir of the ranch after her mother Nancy’s death. |
| 1930s | Portions of the Taylor Ranch coast are sold (Solimar Beach Colony). |
| 1936 | Upon Alice Grubb’s death, her son Percy and daughter Emma Grubb Wood inherit the rancho. |
| 1941 | Percy commits suicide, leaving his sister Emma the sole heir until her death in 1944. |
| 1944 | Buddy Wood assumes control over the ranch following Emma G. Wood’s death. |
| 1948 | Buddy marries Ailene Barnes, and adopts her daughter Cynthia. |
| 1950s | Emma Wood State Beach is developed in memory of her by Buddy Wood. |
| 1971 | Adrian “Buddy” Wood dies at age 89 and leaves the ranch to his widow, Ailene, and his step-daughter, Cynthia. |
| 1973 | On June 25, Pierre Claeyssens and Ailene B. Wood marry in Santa Barbara. |
| 1980 | Pierre and Ailene found the Wood-Claeyssens Foundation. |
| 1993 | Cynthia Wood dies of cancer. |
| 1995 | Ailene B. Claeyssens passes away. |
| 2003 | Pierre P. Claeyssens dies, and his daughter Noelle Claeyssens Burkey assumes the role of president of the Wood-Claeyssens Foundation. |
